The jazz pianist and composer
Dave Bruebeck died in december last year, at 92, and I made this portrait for an article about him in the latest issue of
Orkesterjournalen.
I got the disc
Time Out, from a friend from school and I've liked it ever since I listened to it the first time. Above all, the beautiful composition
"Strange Meadowlark", which starts with a long piece of solo piano.

So it was sad to hear of Dave Brubeck's death in december last year. But I thought it might be nice to do some kind of tribute to him, in picture form. It all resulted in a picture that is now published with an article in Orkesterjournalen # 1 2013
The picture on the front of
Time Out is painted by
S.Neil Fujita (who made many album covers, including
Charles Mingus'
Mingus Ah Um ") and I painted a part of the painting, as a background for the illustration.
